Margin
A quiet space for the ideas that aren’t quite ready yet. Your notes, without the noise.
A small note to myself
Margin began with a simple observation: a note can be useful long before it becomes a document. I wanted somewhere to put those unfinished thoughts without choosing a folder, a format or a system first.
The interface keeps the writing area in focus. The sidebar provides just enough orientation, while the word count gives a quiet sense of progress. There are no formatting controls competing with the draft.
The interactive editor above is a small working study of that idea. Try changing the text and watch the word count respond. Changes belong to this preview session; the demo does not save your writing or send it to a server.
I designed the interaction and built the frontend. A fuller product would need reliable local persistence, export and recovery before it could hold someone’s daily writing. This case study focuses on the writing experience itself.
Thanks for spending a little time here.
